Second edition - number errors have been amended

CDC have had a significant new housing requirement imposed upon it as part of central government's drive to increase housing availability throughout the country. At present there are 42.000 dwellings within Cotswold District. The government currently require in excess of 18,650 new homes to be cuilt in the district over the next 18 years! This is all being considered in a review of CDC Local Plan.

CDC have made representations against a requirement for 18,000 homes. November's district councillor report (published on the County & District News webpage on the parish council website) gives some additional detail, along with a map of the proposed increase areas. Please take time to read his report.

Parishioners are also welcome, and encouraged, to attend a CDC public consulatation drop-in session on 18th December between 2pm and 7pm. It takes place in the Winstone Room at the Corinium Museum. Click HERE for more details of the event.
